FAQ
Q: What is the difference between GDMC-2G and ordinary single-function testers?
A: Ordinary single-function testers can only test one type of component (either MOV or GDT), requiring multiple instruments for complete lightning protection system testing. GDMC-2G integrates MOV test, GDT test and insulation resistance test into one device, providing the following advantages:
- Cost saving: One instrument replaces 3 traditional testers, reducing equipment purchase cost by 60%
- Improved efficiency: No need to switch instruments and re-wire between different tests
- Enhanced portability: Only one device to carry, more convenient for on-site testing
Q: How does the auto-qualification judgment work?
A: Users can pre-set the qualified range for each parameter (e.g., U1mA range for a specific MOV model) in the instrument menu. After testing, the instrument automatically compares the measured value with the pre-set range and displays "Pass" or "Fail" on the screen. This eliminates manual comparison errors and improves test efficiency, especially for batch testing.
Q: Can it test TVS diodes?
A: Yes. GDMC-2G can test the breakdown voltage and leakage current of TVS diodes with breakdown voltage between 50V and 3000V. For TVS diodes with breakdown voltage below 50V, a dedicated low-voltage TVS tester is recommended.
