Description

The GDDJ-MOA Surge Arrester Online Monitoring Device is a compact, intelligent system designed for real-time, non-intrusive health monitoring of metal oxide surge arresters (MOA) in 10kV–500kV substations. It accurately measures total leakage current, resistive current, and 3rd–7th harmonic currents to assess aging, moisture ingress, or degradation—without power outage or disassembly.

Featuring a high-precision zero-flux CT, advanced DSP, and synchronous sampling technology, it delivers stable, interference-resistant measurements. The rugged, fully sealed IP67 enclosure withstands harsh outdoor conditions. With RS485/CAN communication and self-diagnosis, it seamlessly integrates into SCADA or IoT platforms for remote monitoring and early warning.

Advantages

No Power Outage, No Disassembly

Clamp-on CT enables live installation and monitoring; saves 90% deployment time vs. traditional methods.

Accurate Aging & Moisture Detection

Precise resistive current measurement identifies early degradation—prevents catastrophic failure and outage.

All-Weather Outdoor Reliability

IP67, wide temperature, and EMI resistance ensure 24/7 stable operation in harsh substation environments.

Seamless Grid Integration

Standard protocols (RS485/CAN/IEC 61850) enable plug-and-play connection to SCADA/IoT platforms.

Low Maintenance & Long Life

Self-diagnosis, data logging, and industrial-grade design deliver 10+ years of maintenance-free operation.

FAQ

Q: Can it be installed without power outage?

A: Yes. Clamp-on CT allows live-line installation on grounding leads—no disconnection required.

Q: What’s the key indicator for arrester aging?

A: Resistive current increase (especially 3rd harmonic) is the primary sign of aging or moisture ingress.

Q: Does it work for all voltage levels?

A: Yes. Suitable for 10kV–500kV ZnO arresters (A-class & B-class).

Q: How is data transmitted to the control room?

A: Via RS485/CAN (wired) or 4G/Wi-Fi (wireless) to SCADA/IoT platform.

Q: What’s included in the standard package?

A: Main unit, clamp-on CT, RS485 cable, power adapter, mounting bracket, user manual, and waterproof enclosure.
