Description
The GD-3134E Cable Testers & Cable Identifier is a high-performance, portable all-in-one instrument integrating cable testing, path tracing, depth measurement, and live cable identification. Consisting of a signal transmitter and a handheld receiver, it locates underground cables/metal pipelines, identifies target live cables among multiple bundles, and finds insulation faults via optional A-frame.
Designed for 0.4kV–35kV power cables, it supports both active detection (6 selectable frequencies) and passive detection (power frequency/RF). With a 3.5-inch sunlight-readable color LCD, IP65 protection, and lithium battery power, it’s ideal for power utilities, construction teams, and industrial facilities for safe, efficient on-site cable management.

Advantages
Unique Live Cable Identification
Safely identifies energized cables (0.4kV–35kV) without shutdown—critical for uninterrupted power supply and excavation safety.
Unmatched Anti-Interference & Accuracy
2Hz ultra-narrow bandwidth filters noise from adjacent cables/overhead lines; ±5cm depth accuracy ensures precise locating in complex environments.
All-In-One Efficiency
Combines tracing + identification + testing in one kit, eliminating multiple devices and cutting on-site time by 60%.
Rugged & Portable for Harsh Sites
IP65 rating, wide temperature tolerance, and lightweight design enable reliable operation in rain, dust, and extreme temperatures.
Global Standard Compliance
Meets IEC 61010, GB/T 19851, DL/T 1573, ensuring test data recognition for safety audits and regulatory compliance.
FAQ
Q: Can it identify live (energized) cables?
A: Yes. It safely identifies 0.4kV–35kV live cables via flexible clamp coupling—no power outage required.
Q: What is the maximum depth it can detect?
A: Up to 3m with ±5cm accuracy (optimal for 0.5–2m buried depth).
Q: Does it work in noisy environments (e.g., near overhead lines)?
A: Yes. 2Hz ultra-narrow bandwidth and dual-channel anti-interference filter power frequency noise.
Q: Can it find insulation faults in cables?
A: Yes. With the optional A-frame accessory, it locates low-resistance insulation faults along the cable route.
Q: Is training required to operate it?
A: Minimal. The color compass display and intuitive √/× result prompts enable basic operation in 10 minutes.
Q: What’s included in the standard package?
A: Transmitter, receiver, standard test leads, carrying case, user manual. Flexible clamp, stethoscope & A-frame are optional.
