Description
MRT Ultra is a professional flagship high-voltage insulation resistance tester designed for comprehensive insulation performance evaluation of power transformers, high-voltage cables, motors, generators, switchgears and insulators in power systems, electrical manufacturing and industrial enterprises. It strictly complies with GB/T 18216.2-2021, IEC 61557-2:2019 and DL/T 596-2021 standards, supporting 500V/1000V/2500V/5000V/10000V five-gear switchable DC output to meet the test requirements of different voltage levels and equipment capacities.
Adopting high-frequency switching power supply + 24-bit Σ-Δ ADC technology, the instrument features 0.01MΩ-10TΩ ultra-wide measurement range and ±5% full-range accuracy. The built-in 14.8V/10Ah high-capacity lithium battery provides ≥12 hours continuous working time and ≥500 tests per charge, eliminating the need for external AC power supply. It automatically measures R15s, R60s and R600s insulation resistance values, and calculates absorption ratio (DAR) and polarization index (PI) in real time, which are key indicators for evaluating insulation aging and moisture content.

FAQ
Q: What is the significance of absorption ratio (DAR) and polarization index (PI)?
A: Absorption ratio (DAR = R60/R15) and polarization index (PI = R600/R60) are key indicators for evaluating insulation condition:
- DAR < 1.3 or PI < 1.5: Indicates insulation is moist or severely degraded
- 1.3 ≤ DAR < 1.6 or 1.5 ≤ PI < 2.0: Indicates insulation is slightly moist or aged
- DAR ≥ 1.6 or PI ≥ 2.0: Indicates insulation is in good condition
MRT Ultra automatically calculates these values, eliminating manual calculation errors and providing objective insulation assessment.
Q: What is the difference between MRT Ultra and MRT-10?
A: The main differences are:
- Voltage range: MRT Ultra supports 500V-10kV five-gear output, while MRT-10 only has 10kV fixed output
- Battery life: MRT Ultra has ≥12 hours battery life, 50% longer than MRT-10
- Communication: MRT Ultra adds Bluetooth 5.0 wireless transmission, while MRT-10 only has USB
- Data storage: MRT Ultra stores 2000 groups, twice as much as MRT-10
- Accuracy: MRT Ultra has improved accuracy in high-resistance range (100GΩ-10TΩ)
Q: How long can the battery last on a single charge?
A: The built-in 14.8V/10Ah lithium battery provides ≥12 hours continuous working time and ≥500 tests per charge under normal use. It supports charging while testing, so you can use it even when the battery is low.
Q: How to calibrate the instrument?
A: MRT Ultra can be calibrated using standard high-value resistors with accuracy not lower than 0.1 class. The calibration procedure is simple and fast:
- Enter the calibration mode in the instrument menu
- Connect the standard resistor to the test terminals
- Select the corresponding test voltage and range
- Follow the prompts to complete the calibration of each range
- The instrument will automatically save the calibration coefficients
The instrument should be calibrated once every 12 months according to national metrology requirements.
