Description

GD-4134E is a professional split-type multi-functional underground cable and metal pipeline detection system, consisting of a signal transmitter and a handheld receiver. Based on electromagnetic induction technology, it realizes integrated underground utility inspection, covering four core working scenarios: cable path tracing, real-time buried depth measurement, target cable identification among bundled cables, and cable sheath insulation fault pinpointing with optional A-frame sensor.

The system supports passive power frequency mode for quick scanning of live cables without connecting any signal source. For accurate tracing and identification, the transmitter outputs adjustable multi-frequency active signals via three connection methods: direct wiring, flexible clamp coupling and inductive radiation, applicable to both energized and de-energized cables. The receiver adopts high-precision digital filtering, peak/valley dual detection modes, electronic compass directional guidance and real-time signal waveform display, together with tracking validity judgment function to effectively suppress interference from adjacent parallel cables and metal pipelines.

FAQ

Q: What is the difference between passive mode and active mode?

A: Passive mode: Receiver directly detects 50/60Hz electromagnetic field generated by live cables, no transmitter connection required, used for quick scanning to find approximate cable positions. It cannot measure depth accurately and cannot identify cables. Active mode: Transmitter injects specific frequency signal onto target cable, receiver tracks the signal, achieves accurate path tracing, depth reading and reliable cable identification. Required for formal positioning and cable discrimination work.

Q: Can GD-4134E identify live cables?

A: Yes. Equipped with flexible clamp sensor, the transmitter can couple signal onto energized cables without power cut. The receiver captures unique signal characteristics to pick out the target cable among multiple bundled cables, effectively avoid mistakenly cutting live cables during construction.

Q: How to complete sheath fault pinpointing?

A: Purchase optional A-frame probe. After confirming approximate fault distance via RE-TDR pre-locator, connect the A-frame to GD-4134E receiver, walk along the cable route to find the maximum signal mutation point, which is the sheath breakdown fault position.
