Description

The GDIR-640 is a professional-grade, field-optimized handheld infrared thermal imagerexclusively designed for non-contact temperature measurement and fault diagnosis of electrical and industrial equipment. It fully complies with DL/T 664-2016, IEC 62446-1:2016 and GB/T 19870-2018 standards, adopting a high-performance 640×480 uncooled focal plane array (FPA) infrared detector with ≤50mK thermal sensitivity, which can capture extremely subtle temperature differences and clearly display thermal anomalies.
The instrument features a dual-spectrum design integrating a 500-megapixel visible light camera, supporting four imaging modes: infrared only, visible light only, dual-spectrum fusion and picture-in-picture. The advanced fusion algorithm perfectly overlays thermal information with visible light details, making it easy to locate fault positions. With a wide temperature range of -20℃~600℃ (extendable to 1600℃) and ±2℃/±2% measurement accuracy, it meets the testing needs of various power equipment. It supports 1 global + 8 local temperature measurement objects (points, lines, rectangles), automatic high/low temperature tracking and customizable threshold alarms. The built-in laser pointer accurately indicates the target position, and the voice/text annotation function facilitates on-site record keeping. With IP54 dustproof and splashproof rating and 2-meter drop resistance, it can work reliably in harsh field environments. The dual-battery design provides up to 8 hours of continuous operation, making it ideal for all-day on-site inspections. Ideal for substation equipment inspection, transmission line detection, distribution network maintenance, industrial equipment fault diagnosis and building energy efficiency testing.

FAQ

Q: Can it detect partial discharge faults?

A: GDIR-640 can detect thermal-type partial discharge faults that cause temperature rise, such as poor contact, overheating of conductive parts, and iron core loss. For non-thermal partial discharge faults, it is recommended to use it in conjunction with GDPD series partial discharge detectors for comprehensive diagnosis.

Q: How long does the battery last?

A: GDIR-640 is equipped with two hot-swappable 7.4V 2200mAh lithium-ion batteries, providing ≥8 hours of continuous operation. The batteries can be replaced on site without powering off the instrument, ensuring uninterrupted work for all-day inspections.

Q: Can it automatically generate test reports?

A: Yes. The instrument supports exporting thermal images and temperature data via USB or WIFI. The matching PC analysis software can automatically generate standardized Word/PDF test reports with thermal images, temperature data, analysis results and conclusions. Users can also customize the report format according to their needs.

Q: Is it suitable for outdoor use in harsh environments?

A: Yes. GDIR-640 has IP54 dustproof and splashproof rating and has passed 2-meter drop test. It can work reliably in temperatures from -10℃ to +50℃, making it suitable for various harsh field environments such as substations, transmission lines and industrial sites.
