Description
The GDUD-PBI Ultrasonic Flaw Detector is a professional, portable non-destructive testing (NDT) instrument tailored for power utilities. It uses advanced ultrasonic technology to detect internal cracks, voids, delaminations and material degradation in porcelain/composite insulators, HV bushings, CT/PT, transformer tanks and line hardware—without disassembly or shutdown.
Built on an embedded digital system and compliant with EN 12668-1, it integrates creep wave, angle beam and shear wave multi-mode testing. The high-sensitivity ultrasonic probe and auto-calibration ensure accurate coupling on curved surfaces. Rugged yet lightweight, it’s ideal for substation, transmission line and workshop NDT.

FAQ
Q: Can it test both porcelain and composite insulators?
A: Yes. Multi-wave modes support porcelain, composite and polymer insulators.
Q: Does it work on curved bushing surfaces?
A: Yes. Auto probe calibration matches curvature for perfect coupling.
Q: What’s the smallest crack it can detect?
A: Detects micro-cracks ≥0.1mm with high-sensitivity probes.
Q: Is training required for field use?
A: Minimal. Pre-set power modes + one-knob operation—easy to learn.
Q: What’s included in the standard package?
A: Main unit, ultrasonic probes (creep/angle/shear), calibration block, Li-ion battery, charger, HDMI/TF cables, user manual, rugged carry case.
