Description

The GDCL-V 20kV/10kA is a professional, integrated combination wave test systemexclusively designed for surge protective devices (SPD) and low-voltage electrical equipment impulse tests. It fully complies with the latest IEC 61643-11:2025 and IEC 61000-4-5:2014 standards, adopting advanced high-voltage solid-state switching technology to generate stable and repeatable standard lightning impulse voltage and current waveforms simultaneously.
The system features a dual-cabinet integrated design with a built-in test platform, eliminating the need for external wave-shaping components. Equipped with a 7-inch color touch screen and PLC control system, it supports three operation modes: manual, automatic, and computer programmable. It can automatically measure residual voltage, peak current, and waveform parameters, and generate standardized test reports. With comprehensive safety protection including over-voltage, over-current, and emergency stop, it ensures safe and reliable operation in production lines and certification laboratories. Ideal for type tests, factory quality control, and 3C certification tests of Type 1/2/3 SPDs, MOV varistors, low-voltage switchgear, electric vehicle chargers, and household appliances.

FAQ

Q: What is the difference between GDCL-V and single impulse voltage/current generators?

A:
  • GDCL-V (Combination Wave Generator): Generates both 1.2/50μs voltage wave and 8/20μs current wave simultaneously, simulating actual lightning surge conditions, required for SPD type tests according to IEC 61643-11
  • Single voltage generator: Only generates impulse voltage, used for basic insulation tests
  • Single current generator: Only generates impulse current, used for SPD current withstand tests
GDCL-V integrates all three functions in one system, providing a complete SPD test solution.

Q: What SPD parameters can GDCL-V test?

A: It can test all key SPD parameters including:
  • Residual voltage (Ures) at different current levels
  • Nominal discharge current (In) test
  • Maximum discharge current (Imax) test
  • Voltage protection level (Up) test
  • Impulse withstand voltage test
  • Action load test
  • Polarity effect test

Q: Does it meet the requirements for SPD 3C certification?

A: Yes. It fully complies with GB/T 18802.1-2020 (equivalent to IEC 61643-11:2025), which is the mandatory standard for SPD 3C certification in China.

Q: What is the residual voltage measurement accuracy?

A: The residual voltage measurement accuracy is ±2%, which meets the requirements of IEC 61643-11 for SPD type tests.

Q: Does it support computer control and report generation?

A: Yes. It comes with dedicated Windows-based control software for remote operation, parameter setting, waveform display, and automatic PDF report generation.
