Description

GSH-C-NYA-30/60 is a professional fully automatic SF₆ gas handling system designed for power utilities, switchgear manufacturers, EPC contractors and third-party testing institutions. It is dedicated to SF₆ gas recovery, vacuumizing, purification, liquefied storage and refilling during installation, commissioning, routine maintenance and decommissioning of gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), SF₆ circuit breakers, instrument transformers and other gas-insulated HV equipment.
The system strictly complies with IEC 60480, IEC 62271-4 and DL/T 662-2017 standards. It adopts a two-stage oil-free lubrication compressor and high-capacity dual-stage rotary vane vacuum pump, with a recovery rate of 30m³/h and vacuum pumping speed of 60m³/h. The multi-stage deep purification system includes particulate filters, molecular sieve dryers and oil-mist separators, effectively removing moisture, decomposition products, oil residues and dust particles. Recovered gas meets IEC 60480 reuse standards and can be directly refilled into equipment.
Equipped with a 7-inch PLC touch screen, the unit supports one-key fully automatic operation and manual step-by-step control. It has built-in comprehensive safety protection mechanisms including over-pressure, over-current, over-temperature and low oil level alarms. The mobile cabinet design with casters and handle is suitable for on-site mobile operation in substations and power plants. It realizes closed-loop SF₆ gas management, reduces gas emissions, lowers operation costs and meets environmental protection requirements.

Applications

Core Application Objects

  • Gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) of 10kV ~ 500kV voltage grade
  • SF₆ circuit breakers, load switchgear and ring main units
  • SF₆ instrument transformers (CT/PT) and gas-insulated busbars
  • Other SF₆-insulated electrical equipment

Typical Usage Scenarios

  • Power grid operation & maintenance: substation SF₆ equipment routine maintenance, fault repair and gas replacement
  • Switchgear manufacturers: factory assembly test, ex-factory quality inspection and after-sales on-site service
  • Power engineering EPC companies: equipment installation, commissioning and handover acceptance
  • Third-party testing institutions: SF₆ gas quality testing and equipment insulation diagnosis
  • Decommissioning of old equipment: SF₆ gas recovery and treatment before equipment scrapping

Advantages

Q: Can the recovered SF₆ gas be directly refilled and reused?

A: Yes. The unit is equipped with multi-stage deep purification system including drying, oil removal and dust filtration. After one recovery cycle, moisture, oil content and particulate impurities all meet the requirements of IEC 60480 standard for reused gas, and can be directly refilled into electrical equipment. For gas with severe decomposition after arc fault, it is recommended to perform secondary purification or send to professional reclaiming institutions.

Q: What is the difference between oil-free and oil-lubricated compressors?

A: Oil-lubricated compressors will cause oil contamination to SF₆ gas, affecting insulation performance and increasing decomposition products. The oil-free compressor adopted by this unit completely avoids oil contamination, ensures the purity of recovered gas, meets the requirements of HV equipment for gas quality, and reduces later gas treatment cost.

Q: Can this unit be used for on-site substation maintenance?

A: Yes. The unit adopts mobile cabinet design with universal casters and traction handle, equipped with quick-connect pipeline connectors. It can be easily transported to on-site work positions, and the whole operation can be completed without fixed installation. It is very suitable for on-site maintenance of substations and power plants.

Q: What safety protection does the equipment have?

A: The system is equipped with comprehensive safety mechanisms: electrical protection includes over-current, over-temperature and short-circuit protection; pressure protection includes high-pressure alarm, safety valve pressure relief and emergency stop button; vacuum system is equipped with anti-oil return device. The storage tank is manufactured and inspected in strict accordance with pressure vessel standards to ensure operation safety.

FAQ

Q: Can the recovered SF₆ gas be directly reused?
A: Yes. The 4-stage deep purification system can effectively remove moisture, oil, dust and other impurities from recovered SF₆ gas. After purification, the gas quality meets GB/T 8905-2012 new gas standard and can be directly refilled into equipment for use.
Q: Does it require three-phase power supply?
A: No. GSH-R-5 uses AC220V single-phase power supply, which is widely available in distribution rooms, residential areas and industrial sites, greatly improving on-site operation convenience.
Q: What is the maximum capacity of ring main unit that this unit can handle?
A: It can handle 10kV-35kV ring main unit single gas chambers up to 0.1m³, which covers the vast majority of mainstream ring main unit models on the market.
Q: What is the maintenance cycle of the unit?
A: The adsorbent in the purification system should be replaced every 2 years or after processing 1000kg of SF₆ gas. The vacuum pump oil should be changed every 6 months. Annual calibration of pressure gauges and vacuum gauges is recommended.
