Description
The HVD-S 80kV/200mA is a special-purpose high-power DC high voltage test system exclusively designed for water-cooled synchronous generators, enabling DC withstand voltage and leakage current tests directly under water-flow conditions without the need for time-consuming water blow-off.
The system consists of a portable intelligent control box and a lightweight high-voltage doubling cylinder, adopting 30–50kHz high-frequency PWM technology and high-power IGBT devices to deliver stable 80kV/200mA output with low ripple coefficient. Equipped with a large LCD display and intuitive operation interface, it supports one-key automatic test (auto boost → step hold → auto step-down → auto shutdown) and real-time voltage/current waveform display. With comprehensive over-voltage, over-current, breakdown, zero-start, and ground detection protection, it ensures maximum safety for both the generator and the operator. Ideal for preventive maintenance, overhaul, and commissioning tests of 6.3kV–20kV water-cooled generator stator windings.

Advantages
No Water Blow-Off Required
Tests directly under water-flow conditions;saves 8–24 hours of generator downtime → significantly reduces maintenance cost and outage time
Low-Voltage Shielding + Polarization Compensation
Accurately separates winding leakage current from water pipe current;eliminates polarization potential interference → reliable and accurate test results
80kV/200mA High-Power Output
Sufficient current for water-cooled generator winding tests;stable output under high capacitive and conductive loads → no voltage drop during test
Automatic Step Test (DL/T 596 Compliant)
One-key automatic test according to standard procedures;reduces human error and improves testing efficiency → ensures test compliance
Comprehensive Safety Protection
Multiple protection layers + external MOA option → maximum safety for both the expensive generator and the operator
FAQ
Q: Do I need to blow off the water in the generator windings before testing?
A: No. The HVD-S is designed to test directly under water-flow conditions using the low-voltage shielding method, eliminating the need for time-consuming water blow-off.
Q: What is polarization potential compensation?
A: Water flow through metal pipes generates a polarization potential that can cause leakage current reading drift. The built-in ±2.5V polarization compensation automatically eliminates this interference, ensuring accurate measurements.
Q: Does it comply with DL/T 596-2021 test procedures?
A: Yes. The automatic step test mode follows the standard procedure: 0→50%→75%→100% test voltage with 1-minute hold at each step.
Q: What protection does it provide for the generator?
A: It features comprehensive over-voltage, over-current, and breakdown protection, with an optional external zinc oxide arrester for additional generator over-voltage protection.
