Description
The GDTF-162/54 is a professional, field-optimized variable frequency series resonant test system exclusively designed for 35kV long XLPE power cables and substation electrical equipment AC withstand voltage tests. It fully complies with DL/T 849.6-2016 and GB 50150-2016 standards, adopting the series resonance principle to generate high voltage and large current with only a small input power, solving the problem of traditional test transformers being too heavy and having insufficient capacity for large capacitive loads.
The system consists of a variable frequency control power supply, excitation transformer, 6 identical 27kV/1A dry-type epoxy-cast reactors, and a 0.5-class standard capacitor divider.. The reactors can be flexibly connected in series or parallel to adapt to different test voltage and current requirements. Equipped with a 7-inch color touch screen and advanced automatic frequency sweep algorithm, it can automatically find the resonance point within 30 seconds, complete the entire test process with one click, and store all test data for traceability. With single-phase 220V input (compatible with field generators) and lightweight single reactor design (≤27kg), it is ideal for on-site commissioning and preventive maintenance tests of 35kV XLPE power cables, GIS, power transformers, bushings, insulators, and switchgear.

Advantages
97% Energy Saving vs Traditional Test Transformers
Series resonance principle reduces input power to only 1/Q of output power → small input power, light weight, easy to transport
Single-Phase 220V Input
Compatible with field generators and ordinary power outlets → no need for three-phase power supply, convenient for remote sites
Ultra-Lightweight Single Reactor
27kg per reactor, single-person portable → easy to carry and assemble in remote substations without lifting equipment
Flexible Reactor Combination
6-stage 27kV reactors can be connected in series or parallel → one system covers all test requirements from 10kV to 35kV
FAQ
Q: What is the difference between GDTF-162/54 and GDTF-108kVA-108kV?
A:
- GDTF-162/54: 54kV peak output, 162kVA capacity, single-phase 220V input, 6×27kV reactors, optimized for 35kV long cables and substation equipment
- GDTF-108kVA-108kV: 108kV peak output, 108kVA capacity, three-phase 380V input, 4×27kV reactors, optimized for 110kV substation equipment
Both use the same series resonance principle and automatic frequency sweep technology.
Q: What is the maximum length of 35kV XLPE cable that can be tested?
A: With 3A rated current at 54kV, it can test up to 1.2km of 35kV/300mm² XLPE power cable or 3km of 10kV/300mm² XLPE power cable.
Q: Does it require three-phase power supply?
A: No. It adopts single-phase AC220V input, which is compatible with field generators and ordinary power outlets, making it ideal for remote sites without three-phase power.
